Reiki is an easy-to-learn-but-you-have-to-practice-regularly-to-get-the-most-benefit technique for removing stress and placing calm energy in its place.
Reiki has it's strongest evidence in the areas of stress relief/anxiety, and pain management.
* A calmer patient will improve their clinical outcome. They will also be more compliant about medications and other medical requirements. A calmer family will be able to more effectively help the patient. A calmer you will be a better caregiver. A you that goes home relaxed and not exhausted will be better able to stay physically well and happily engaged in a long-term nursing career.
* Pain relief leads to better clinical outcomes, and greater patient comfort.
