Reiki Training for Nurses

  • What is Reiki?

Are you a nurse in Washington looking for really valuable and directly useful continuing education?
Learn Reiki and integrate it easily into both your nursing practice and your own self-care. Reiki is a powerful way to prevent stress from building up, or to reduce stress after a stressful event or shift - and you don't have to change clothes, spend a lot of time, get pricked by needles, drive to anyone's office or get into specific postures.

"This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Washington State Nurses Assn., an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation."

For more information, call 253.203.6676 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            253.203.6676      end_of_the_skype_highlighting, the Soar With the Eagles office, or email victoria@soaringreiki.com. If you are not a nurse, you can still attend. This is a fully-certified Reiki I attunement class. You will be able to start using Reiki for your own self-care as well as helping your patients on the evening of your class completion!

The following Reiki classes are scheduled:

 > 2 contact hours: Exploring Reiki in Nursing Practice.
This is the pre-req for Reiki I certification and attunement. In this workshop, you will have demos and opportunities for interactive discussion of the latest nursing and medical journal articles, how reiki is used in nursing practice and for nurse self-care, and what the history and levels of reiki include, how to identify the patients who would most benefit from reiki, and other important topics. You will experience reiki in action and be able to answer questions about it. You can continue on to Reiki I in Nursing Practice on the same day!

> 4 hours: Reiki I in Nursing Practice [Exploring Reiki is a pre-req]
This workshop trains you in detail, in how to use reiki energy in your nursing practice and in your self-care. You will receive your complete attunement and certification as part of your contact hours. Reiki is an important form of CAM. Being able to integrate it into your ordinary nursing care will allow you to improve your skills; being able to integrate it into your day will allow you to end your work shift with calm energy, not exhaustion.
Each attendee gets a published book, $25 retail (Reiki, by medical researcher Pam Miles). If you are very knowledgeable about Reiki, you can petition the instructor directly for a waiver of the pre-req.

Dates: classes start at 8 AM and 10:45AM, respectively and are at the Soar With the Eagles office in Federal Way, 28203 22nd Ave S,  253-203-6676 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            253-203-6676      end_of_the_skype_highlighting      [we shut down the day of class, so call ahead with questions].
